AppleBoost energy snack tubes...organic, nutritious and 'on time'

The food science breakthrough came a few years ago when research led by Rui Hai Liu, Ph.D. at Cornell University's prestigious Department of Food Science developed a new method for drying and "powderizing" apple peels while retaining all their inherent nutrition.
Practical application came in 2008, when product developer Dave Copeland partnered with apple grower Jim Leahy to blend dried apple peel powder (DAPP) into the best tasting organic apple sauce in North America, ultimately producing a new functional food called AppleBoost energy snack tubes.
The mission today is to acquaint registered dietitians and other respected "good food recommenders" with the healthy facts about the fiber, antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties found in AppleBoost energy snacks and DAPP capsules.  That awareness-building program began in May, 2008 and accelerated in August when Timothy Communications was retained to direct marketing communications.
Most would agree that the time is right to introduce an organic, all-natural, highly nutritious snack item for people on the go.   We're proud to be part of this new business launch, and will keep our readers up to date.

Jim Leahy was first photographed picking apples from a tree at the age of four, only to make it his life's work.  He founded Leahy Orchards in 1979 and is Vice President/Treasurer for AppleBoost Products Inc.
